The Art of Preparation
Acting Workshop
Preparation is the single most important—and most overlooked—aspect of the actor’s craft. You cannot prepare for the “new stuff” that emerges in a scene at the last minute; true preparation begins long before you step onstage or in front of the camera. It is an art form of its own—one that can be learned, practiced, and mastered.
In this immersive workshop, you’ll be guided through a clear, step-by-step process for creating the inner life and emotional readiness that every powerful performance requires. You’ll learn how to arrive in a scene fully available, fully alive, and ready for whatever the moment demands—not just “acting,” but living.
This workshop is ideal for actors who want to deepen their craft, take their work to the next level, and expand their ability to live truthfully under imaginary circumstances.
Participants are encouraged to bring a short, fully memorized piece so they can apply the preparation techniques directly to their own work. I will also be offering cold readings for those who want to explore preparation in real time and challenge themselves with fresh material.
For adults and teens. $50 per person
